Week Ten, Fiction of Ideas
This week was all about mind games, or different ideas/ways of thinking while one reads. The readings mostly emphasized this.
The story I read was Babel 17. In this, it is all about how to ready people's actions, body language and how someone might think. However, it is also combined with an outside power, to be able to predict what might happen. I thought this was very interesting as body language and the way of communication, or showing what you think is very important in our real lives. Sometimes, we might be lacking this. In the story, it is fictional with powers- but this highlights the fact that in the real world, we are faced with these challenges on our own, no powers.
I thought this was a very intriguing read because of that thought.
