Classic hero tales are represented in so many different ways, by such a large amount of authors and directors. J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Hobbit" is not exception of one of such amazing stories that take the audience to a fantastical world that show so many different peaks of the story, leading to a climax in the ways of storytelling. "The Hobbit" definitely follows the traditional tales of a hero, but Tolkien really chose an "Unlikely hero," one that may at first glance not seem like someone very powerful, but Bilbo Baggins truly is a powerful character who works so hard in the story, as he travels wide on a journey, meeting so many other characters. He overcomes struggles, just like in other hero tales, gets to a downfall of his friends being in major trouble, hope being lost, and eventually the final battle before the resolution.

This story is so classic, yet still so different that it is just so strong in the sense of storytelling. Reading this, one can really get lost in the world, travelling with Bilbo and Gandalf, following the story-line of the dwarves and Orcs. Yet again, the hero in this tale is not some powerful muscular character- rather, a Hobbit is a creature much smaller and typically very peaceful, known to never leave their town. Still, Bilbo does the unbelievable, and becomes a major hero.
